My stay was really nice for our son's wedding at St James church. I had spotless and elegant room to myself with a large sofa and bath plus very comfortable double bed. The price was £ 102. I found the hotel's location stunning, close enough to the canal and lake, moats and view of the canal.

I like history and the building represented the best of British culture. I loved the way they have been able to preserve the history but at the same time be modern and clean. The surroundings are fantastic, the staff could not do enough to meet the needs of our party of 11. Wished we had stayed for longer

The whole atmosphere was very pleasant. I have stayed before & will stay again
lack of seating dining places in the lounge bar. Tables being occupied for long periods by single people or couples, preventing others [me] from sitting down & enjoying a meal & drink

It is very clean and comfortable in beautiful surroundings.
Both our choices from the brasserie menu were unavailable. There was a strong smell along the ground floor corridor from reception of either dampness or dirty mops. We were very surprised.
